Upamiętniamy por. mar. Mariana Mokrskiego (1915–1940) – oficera Marynarki Wojennej II RP, nawigatora legendarnego ORP „Orzeł”. Bohater ucieczki z internowania w Tallinnie, twórca własnoręcznej mapy Bałtyku, dzięki której okręt dotarł do Wielkiej Brytanii. Poległ wraz z całą załogą na Morzu Północnym w 1940 roku.

We commemorate Lieutenant Junior Grade Marian Mokrski (1915–1940), an officer of the Polish Navy of the Second Republic and
navigator of the legendary submarine ORP Orzeł. A hero of the escape
from internment in Tallinn and the creator of a hand‑drawn map of the
Baltic Sea that enabled the vessel to reach the United Kingdom. He was
killed along with the entire crew in the North Sea in 1940.
